Faculty of European Civilizations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty of European Civilisations is the foremost structural branch of the University. The Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology was founded on 1 September 1992, and in 2001 it was renamed the Faculty of European Civilizations (FEC). Over the years, the FEC has trained more than ten thousand in-demand foreign language teachers and translators. The Faculty currently offers Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Philology, Philological Education and Linguistics, as well as a specialty in Translation and Translation Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development of the faculty is connected with the activities of the deans: Irsalieva N.K. (1992-2006), Kozuev D.I. (2006-2015), Kadyrkulova F.D. (2015-2023), and the current dean, Dzharkinbaeva N.B. The faculty has specialized rooms and a resource centre. Our highly qualified teachers, including native speakers, use modern teaching methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faculty's mission <\/strong>is to provide high-quality training in philological education and translation, equipping students with foreign language skills that align with national interests and meet the demands of the modern job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student life at our faculty is rich and diverse. During the period of study under the bachelor's degree programs, students actively participate in research activities, present reports at scientific conferences of various levels, become winners and prize winners of interuniversity, republican and international competitions and olympiads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The faculty provides ample opportunities for comprehensive personal development. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities not only in their studies, but also in cultural, sports and social events. Active participation in the life of the faculty helps to develop leadership qualities, responsibility and teamwork skills. Graduates of the faculty are in high demand in the labor market. Many of them continue their education in master's and postgraduate programs abroad, successfully entering the world's leading universities. Others find application for their knowledge and skills, holding positions in international organizations, diplomatic missions, government agencies, think tanks and private sector companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
