The Department of Theory and Practice of Accounting

The Department of "Theory and Practice of Accounting" of the Faculty of Economics and Finance is a structural educational, methodological and scientific unit of Bishkek State University, which carries out educational, methodological and research activities, extracurricular activities among students.

The Mission of the Department is to prepare highly qualified Bachelors in the field of accounting, analysis and audit, able to use the knowledge gained to work in commercial and non-profit organizations, various sectors of the economy, as well as in the field of education, able to withstand competition in the labor market.

In accordance with the Mission, the Department solves the following main tasks:

• Continuous modernization of the educational process;
• Introduction of progressive technologies and methods in the educational process;
• Active scientific research in the field of accounting, analysis and audit;
• Stimulation of students' interest in creative, research work;
• Creation of the most favorable conditions for students in obtaining quality education and development of scientific and creative potential;
• Carrying out cultural and educational work aimed at spiritual and moral improvement of individuals and formation of national patriotism.

The Department of theory and practice of accounting, analysis and audit was created by the order of the BSU Rector from 29.04.2009. Head of the Department of "Theory and Practice of Accounting", Cand. Sc. Economics, Assistant Professor Mrs. Razhapbaeva Mairam Abdyldaevna. Pedagogical experience of work - 25 years. Since 2012, the Department has been implementing the Bachelor's degree program in the direction of 580100 "Economics", profile "Accounting, analysis and audit".

The Purpose of the Department – формирование системы общих, инструментальных и профессиональных компетенций бакалавров, обладающих теоретическими и практическими навыками осуществления учетно-аналитической, проектно-экономической, организационно-управленческой и аудиторско-консалтинговой деятельности предприятий во всех отраслях экономики.

To achieve and maintain the set goals, the Department of "Theory and Practice of Accounting" formed the following tasks:

• To meet the requirements of State and International Standards in the implementation of higher education programs;
• To maintain the activity of the Department at a good organizational and technical level;
• To integrate all elements of the educational process in order to prepare highly qualified accountants and auditors able to withstand competition in the market; 
• To stimulate the organizational, scientific, educational and methodical activity of the teaching staff.
