Educational department

The Academic Department is a structural subdivision of the university through which the planning, organization and control of the educational process is carried out. The main goal of the Academic Department is effective planning, organization, management and control of the educational process at BSU based on credit technology in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Education in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2040 and BSU.

Areas of activity of the educational department:

• scientific organization of the educational process;
• current planning, organization and control of the educational process;
• improvement of regulatory documentation governing the educational process;
• organizing interaction between university departments in the development of the university’s main educational documentation;
• preparation of reports on the implementation of educational programs and the educational process at the university;
• control over the planning and actual implementation of the teaching load by the faculty;
• analysis of work, generalization of results and dissemination of advanced experience in educational and educational-methodical work of faculties, departments and individual teachers;
• analysis and generalization of information for the preparation of decisions by the rector’s office on the management of the educational process;
• analysis of the progress of the educational process, results of examination sessions and final state certification.

The main tasks of the Educational Department are:

• Organization of educational activities for the implementation of basic professional educational programs in accordance with licensing and regulatory requirements;
• Organization of interaction between the University departments in order to improve the quality of training of specialists, bachelors, masters and PhDs, modernization of the educational process in accordance with modern requirements, implementation of the strategy for the development of the University's educational activities;
• Coordination of the work of institutes, faculties, departments and other structural divisions of BSU to ensure the educational process;
• Improvement of regulatory, educational and methodological documentation regulating the educational process;
• Initiation of the development and implementation of innovative educational technologies into the university’s educational process, ensuring an improvement in the quality of educational activities.
