The Centre for Culture and Youth Work of the K. Karasaev Bishkek State University takes care of the spiritual and moral, aesthetic and all-round development of the students of the university.

The department of culture and work with youth was approved in 1997, according to the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the basis of order No. 64 of the scientific council of BSU. The department continues to work closely with the rectorate, institutes, deaneries, departments, educational departments, trade union organizations and other departments of the university.

The main goal of the department is to be a creative department uniting talented young people. At the department, students have the opportunity to learn to sing, dance, play musical instruments - to develop their abilities in various creative circles and associations. In addition, in addition to cultural and mass events, the department works closely with student associations consisting of talented young people. These are "Student Council", "BMU Enactas", "BMU Debate" club, "Volunteers" groups, etc.

Another aim of the department is to educate young people spiritually, enrich their consciousness, increase their organisational activity and encourage them to behave properly in public places. And also in order to foster patriotism, we actively participate in cultural events held in the Philharmonic Society named after T. T. Gorky. Т. Satylganov, Opera and Ballet Theatre, Kyrgyz-Russian Drama Theatre, Children's Centre "Seytek". All students are invited (trained) to actively participate and help in organising cleaning and Saturday clean-ups. Cultural and sporting events are held annually at a high level to encourage young people to unite and strengthen friendship. To prevent divisions among students and to make good use of free time, round tables, debates and regular meetings with successful people are organised.

In order to help vulnerable people and orphans in need of care, large families, the disabled, single mothers, and the elderly, volunteer activities are carried out in co-operation with students for charity.
