Bishkek State University named after K.Karasaev

On May 29, 1979 the Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature (PIRYAL) was founded by Decree of the USSR Council of Ministers No. 488.

The Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature (PIRYAL) was abolished by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated 17.06.92 № Presidential Decree-201 "On the establishment of the State Institute of Languages and Humanities" and on its basis the State Institute of Languages and Humanities was established. Order of the Ministry of National Education of the Kyrgyz Republic № 208/1a of 17.06.1992 "On the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic of June 17, 1992 № UP-201".

The State Institute of Languages and Humanities was transformed by the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 308 of 11.05.1994. "On the transformation of the State Institute of Languages and Humanities into Bishkek Humanities University.

Bishkek Humanitarian University was named after Academician Kusein Karasaev by the Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic № 476 from 29.06.2004 "On assigning the name of Academician K. Karasaev to Bishkek Humanitarian University. By the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 842/1 dated July 10, 2019, the name of Bishkek Humanitarian University named after Academician Kusein Karasaev was changed to "Bishkek State University named after Academician Kusein Karasaev"

Currently - Bishkek State University named after Academician Kusein Karasaev.
