Department of Culture and Youth Affairs of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev
The Department of Culture and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek State University (BSU) named after K. Karasaev organizes events aimed at the spiritual, moral, aesthetic and comprehensive development of students.
The department was founded in 1997 in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the order No. 64 of the Academic Council of BSU. It closely cooperates with the university rector's office, institutes, deans' offices, departments, educational divisions, trade union organizations and other structural units.
The main goals of the department:
- Support for creative youth – the department unites talented students, giving them the opportunity to develop their abilities in creative circles and associations. Students learn to sing, dance, play musical instruments and participate in various cultural events.
- Working with youth associations – the department actively interacts with such student organizations as:
- Student Council
- Dance ensemble "Enaktas" BSU
- BSU Debate Club
- Volunteer groups and others.
- Spiritual and moral education – development of youth consciousness, improvement of organizational skills, formation of a respectful attitude towards elders and a culture of behavior in public places.
- Patriotic education – students actively participate in cultural events held in:
- Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov
- Opera and Ballet Theatre
- Kyrgyz-Russian Drama Theatre
- Children's center "Seytek" and other institutions.
- Social and volunteer activities – the department organizes:
- Charity events for orphans, large families, people with disabilities, single mothers and the elderly.
- Clean-up days and improvement events.
- Developing friendship and cohesion – cultural and sports events, round tables, debates, meetings with successful individuals are held annually to prevent disagreements among students and teach them how to properly organize their free time.
The Department of Culture and Youth Affairs of the K. Karasaev BSU plays an important role in the formation of active, creative and socially responsible youth.
