Council on Quality of BSU named after K. Karasaev

The Quality Council of BSU named after K. Karasaev is the management body of the quality management system, acting for the purpose of forming and implementing the policy in the field of quality, improving and controlling the quality of educational and scientific activities of the university and its structural divisions.

In its work, the Council is guided by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Education" and other regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as internal documents of BSU.

The main tasks of the Council are:

  • coordination of activities at all levels of management aimed at improving the quality of training of specialists in demand on the labor market and carrying out work to ensure the quality of educational services received at the university;
  • promoting continuous improvement of the university's QMS;
  • promoting independent accreditation of BSU educational programs.

The main functions of the Council are:

  • preparation and updating of the texts of the Policy, the University Mission, the University Development Strategy and other conceptual documents in the field of quality of educational services; development of the BSU strategy in the field of quality assurance;
  • development of plans for specific events and areas of activity aimed at implementing the strategic educational objectives of BSU; development of the main directions of BSU policy in the field of quality of education;
  • development of recommendations on the creation and development of a quality management system for education;
  • studying domestic and foreign experience in improving quality and making proposals for the implementation of positive experience;
  • providing the rector’s office and the Academic Council with an annual overview report on issues within the competence of the Council;
  • analysis of the results of comprehensive audits of the university's activities and development of solutions to help eliminate identified deficiencies in the organization of key processes of the university's activities;
  • coordination of events that enhance the status of BSU as a whole or in specific areas;
  • analysis of the university's QMS compliance with the requirements of state and international quality standards;
  • planning, organizing, conducting monitoring and control activities at the university, carried out within the framework of the implementation and improvement of the QMS, and assessing their effectiveness;
  • organization of scientific and methodological conferences, seminars and advanced training for employees and teaching staff in the field of QMS.
