Green and Digital Universities for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan (GREEN KG)

Project objective: The national project "Green and Digital University" is seamlessly aligned with the EU Green Deal and the national strategy for raising environmental awareness and developing and adapting a green and sustainable approach in universities. The project aims to address universities' needs to expand their knowledge and capacity to develop and implement green and digital university policies.

Project Description: The "Green and Digital University" model, with the support and approval of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, can be applied nationally to enhance the educational and innovative potential of Kyrgyz universities by implementing green policies and digitalization to enhance their sustainable, inclusive growth and competitiveness. The green university model will include the creation of green digital offices (GDOs) to implement smart governance aimed at minimizing negative environmental impacts, managing university operations through energy and resource conservation, and promoting the development of green ideas in society.
