The event was organized by the Department of Social Information and Documentation of the Faculty of Social and Information Sciences. The event was attended by the rector of BSU Mirlan Dyldaev, the chief specialist of the Ministry of Culture Cholponai Toychubekova, the director of the National Library named after A. Osmonov Ainura Askarova, the dean of the Faculty of Social and Information Sciences Altyn Asanova and other experts.
Head of the Department Gulzhan Mukambetova presented a report on the prospects for training library personnel. Professor M.A. Rakhmatullaev from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies joined online.
After the plenary session, a concert and a "Meeting of Department Graduates" took place, where career successes, support for the alma mater and the creation of the Graduates Association were discussed. In parallel, a round table on mentoring and employment of young personnel was held, moderated by G. I. Mukambetova. Senior Lecturer M. N. Teishova led discussions on professional education.
The forum became a significant event for the exchange of experience and the development of the library and information sector in Kyrgyzstan.
