On October 30, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference was held at the Bishkek State University named after Academician K. Karasaev «"The Russian language is the language of friendship and peace."», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Anarbay Namitayevich Sydykov, an outstanding scholar, teacher and researcher who made a significant contribution to the development of Russian studies and philological education in Kyrgyzstan.
The conference was organized by Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev (Kyrgyz Republic), Moscow State Linguistic University (Russian Federation), Kuban State University (Russian Federation), and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main goal of the conference was to discuss the role of the Russian language as a universal means of international communication, intercultural interaction, and strengthening friendship between peoples. Particular attention was paid to the preservation and development of the Russian language in modern educational and digital spaces.
More than 100,000 people took part in the conference. 150 scientists, teachers, postgraduate and master's students from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan and other countries.
The conference's guests of honor included Alexander Alexandrovich Poida, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation; Vladimir Nikolaevich Konev, Assistant to the Rector for CIS Affairs at Moscow State Linguistic University; Yulia Faridovna Okovitaya, Acting Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at Kuban State University; and others.
The reports addressed issues of bilingualism and intercultural communication, digitalization of language education, translation issues, and the ethnolinguistic characteristics of national cultures.
Conference participants highlighted the professor's significant contribution
Sydykov Anarbay Namitaevich in the development of domestic linguistics, the establishment of the Kyrgyz philological school and the strengthening of scientific ties with leading universities in Russia.
It was emphasized that such scientific meetings contribute to the development of professional dialogue, the strengthening of humanitarian ties, and the promotion of the Russian language as the language of science, education, and peace.
The conference proceedings were published in the journal «BSU Bulletin» with assignment of ISBN and item-by-item entry into the database RINTS.
As a result of the conference, a decision was made Resolution, where participants noted the high organizational level of the event, the broad scientific coverage and the relevance of the topic.
The conference became a shining example of successful international cooperation and demonstrated that the Russian language continues to fulfill its unifying mission—to be the language of friendship and mutual understanding among peoples.
