From May 12 to 15, 2025, an international seminar of the project “Green Agreements in Universities of Central Asia,” implemented under the Erasmus+ program, was held at Constructor University in Bremen, Germany.
The seminar was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Management and Project Coordinator E.T. Bokoeva, as well as Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Investments of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev E.K. Kanatbekov.
The event brought together over 30 representatives from leading universities in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, fostering active dialogue, experience exchange, and the establishment of sustainable academic partnerships.
During the seminar, BSU representatives delivered presentations showcasing the university’s initiatives in sustainable development and the promotion of the “Green Agreements” concept. Special attention was given to the ecological transformation of the educational process, integration of green principles into the university’s strategy, fostering environmental awareness among students, and the development of a future Green Initiatives Center at BSU.
Seminar participants discussed key components of project implementation, including:
• Development of joint educational modules;
• Preparation of a roadmap for implementing green agreements within universities;
• Updating strategies for Central Asian universities in line with the global environmental agenda;
• Establishment of “Green Agreements” centers at partner universities;
• Approval of the updated project roadmap.
