On December 12–13, 2025, Nurkyz Borsokeeva and Zharkyn Altymyshova, lecturers from the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of BSU named after K. Karasayev, took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Translingual Linguistics and Cultural Studies: Theoretical Directions and Practice of Teaching Russian as a Second Language," held at the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Chinese Russian University.
Over 80 scholars participated in the conference, presenting 74 papers on current issues in the functioning of the Russian language and the interaction of languages and cultures. In the first section, N. B. Borsokeeva presented a paper entitled "The Role of Literature in the Formation of National Consciousness," and Zh. Zh. Altymyshova presented a paper entitled "The Role of Literature in the Formation of National Consciousness." The papers generated interest and were followed by lively discussion.
