On November 17, 2025, the 3rd International Japanese Language Oral Presentation Competition was held in Novosibirsk. It was organized by the Siberia–Hokkaido Tourism and Sister City Center, the Sapporo–Novosibirsk Association, and the Japan Foundation. The competition aims to promote intercultural dialogue and strengthen international cooperation among schoolchildren and youth.
Kyrgyzstan is participating in the competition for the third year in a row. In 2025, the country was represented by students from leading universities, including BSU named after K. Karasayev. Our university was represented by students of the Japanese Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations, Aisymbat Begalieva and Adelina Oskonbaeva.
Both students demonstrated a high level of Japanese language proficiency and became winners in their categories:
Aysymbat Begalieva - 1st place (intermediate level),
Аделина Өскөнбаева — 1st place (beginner level).
The competition was held in a warm atmosphere, with representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Russia, Japanese language teachers, and experts from the Japan Foundation participating. Following the presentations, the participants were introduced to the traditional tea ceremony of the Urasenke school. The following day, a cultural program was organized for the delegations, including excursions, a visit to a tea ceramics exhibition, and a screening of a film produced by the Japan Foundation.
BSU expresses gratitude to the organizers and the Association of Japanese Language Teachers of the Kyrgyz Republic for the opportunity to participate and support student initiatives.
