On November 12, 2025, a presentation of the Department of Supplementary and Inclusive Education of the Institute of Continuous Distance Education, Retraining, and Advanced Training was held at Bishkek State University named after K. Karasayev.
This is the first department of this type in Central Asia, making the event particularly significant for the region's education system.
The department will become a center for professional development for supplementary education teachers, as well as specialists in the fields of art, technology, ecology, and tourism. It aims to develop the competencies of over 3,000 teachers in Kyrgyzstan.
Deputy Minister of Education Albert Makhmetkulov attended the presentation and delivered a welcoming speech. Students and faculty also participated in the event.
The presentation included an exhibition of creative works, master classes, and a concert by children's groups. The opening of the department marked an important step in the development of inclusive and supplementary education in the country.
