From 12 to 15 May 2025, an international seminar of the project "Green Deals in Central Asian Universities", implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, was held in Bremen (Germany) at Constructor University. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Management, project coordinator E. T. Bokoeva
Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Investments of BSU named after K. Karasaev E.K. Kanatbekov.
The seminar brought together more than 30 representatives of leading universities from Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, which contributed to active dialogue, exchange of experience and the formation of sustainable academic partnerships.
As part of the working program, BSU representatives made presentations in which they presented the university's developments in implementing initiatives in the field of sustainable development and promoting the concept of "green agreements". Particular attention in the presentations was paid to the environmental transformation of the educational process, the inclusion of green principles in the university strategy, the formation of environmental education among students and the creation of the future Center for Green Initiatives at BSU.
The seminar participants discussed the key components of the project implementation:
-development of joint educational modules;
-preparation of a plan for the implementation of green agreements in the university environment;
- updating development strategies for universities in Central Asia, taking into account the global environmental agenda;
- creation of “green deal” centers in partner universities;
- approval of the updated project roadmap.
