As part of the 2026 Universiade sports competitions, the Kyrgyz kurūshu team of Bishkek State University named after Academician K. Karasaev successfully performed and took an honorable second place in the team standings.
The competition brought together the country's top university athletes. Amid intense competition, BSU wrestlers demonstrated a high level of training and athletic skill.
Based on the results of individual performances, the prize places were taken by:
1st place: Zhekshenbekov Nurdin, Zhorobekov Umar, Ashiradiev Elbek
2nd place: Zhumabekov Adilet, Toktomambetov Atabek
3rd place: Toktonaliev Ibrahim, Toktorbaev Barsbek, Zholdoshbekov Bekmyrza
