On November 28, 2025, the leadership of Bishkek State University named after K. Karasayev received a delegation from Ankara State University. The delegation was led by Rector Professor Necdet Unuvar. Also participating in the meeting was Rector of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Alpaslan Ceylan.
The delegation of Ankara State University included:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir – International Relations Coordinator;
Dr. Ceyda Zerenai – Deputy Director of the TÖMER Center;
Alp Güven is a social media specialist.
During the meeting, BSU Rector Professor Mirlan Dyldayev and Ankara State University Rector Professor Necdet Unuvar discussed key areas of cooperation, including:
development of academic mobility of students and teachers;
implementation of joint educational and research programs;
strengthening partnerships between universities.
Following the event, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation and a protocol establishing the TÖMER center at BSU. The center will promote opportunities for Turkish language learning and foster cultural cooperation.
The delegation also met with university students, providing information about academic mobility programs, exchange programs, summer schools, and other international initiatives. At the end of the visit, the guests toured the university's infrastructure, visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Department of Turkish Language, and learned about the educational process and its facilities.
This meeting marked an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation between BSU named after K. Karasayev and Ankara State University, opening up new opportunities for developing international cooperation in education and science.
