On March 13, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Kim Kwangjae arrived on an official visit to Bishkek State University named after Academician K. Karasaev.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with the university's rector, Professor Mirlan Dyldaev, and also held a meeting with the faculty of the Department of Korean Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations and students of the Korean department.
During the meeting, issues related to the further development of Korean philology, the training of highly qualified specialists with knowledge of the Korean language, and the expansion of academic cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries were discussed.
Additionally, with the support of BNK Finance, a special agreement was signed to transfer educational equipment to the university's Korean department. This initiative aims to improve the educational process and strengthen the material and technical infrastructure for Korean language teaching.
