On October 27, 2025, the K. Karasaev Bishkek State University hosted the grand opening of the Days of Science and the International Scientific and Educational Project "Scientists of the Future," aimed at popularizing science and supporting youth in the CIS countries.
The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Rossotrudnichestvo, and the Science of the Russian Federation portal. The project was initiated by the A.S. Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language (Moscow).
The opening ceremony was attended by A.A. Poida, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic; G.M. Murzakhmetova, Ambassador of Russian Education and Science, Professor and Doctor of Philology; faculty, students, graduate students, master's students, and doctoral candidates from BSU named after K. Karasaev; as well as Russian scientists, teachers, and students from leading universities in the country.
Mirlan Dyldaev, Rector of BSU named after K. Karasaev, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the particular importance of holding such events for Kyrgyzstan's student population. "Such scientific forums promote the development of scientific thinking, foster interest in research, and expand international scientific ties. For BSU students, this is a unique opportunity to directly interact with renowned scientists and tap into modern scientific achievements," the rector noted.
In his speech, Nikita Vladimirovich Gusev, Rector of the A.S. Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, introduced the project and spoke about its mission.
The day's program included lectures and discussions by Russian scientists representing major universities in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and Yakutsk.
The central theme of the event was a lecture by Natalia Shlyk on the topic: "Space Weather and Its Forecast.".
The breakout sessions featured interesting and memorable presentations on a variety of topics: "The Theory of Linguistic Expertise: Current Status and Features of Teaching at the University" (P. Katyshev, Doctor of Philosophy), "Continuity of Generations: The Path from Schoolchild to Scientist" (M. Navasardyan, PhD), "Knot Theory, Invariants, and Pictures" (V. Manturov, PhD), "How Polymers Changed the World: A Materials Revolution" (N. Lazareva, PhD), "Mathematical Logic and Theory of Algorithms" (N. Bazhenov, PhD), and others.
Students were particularly interested in the "Scientists of the Future" quiz, hosted by Evgeny Plakhotin, where participants were able to test their knowledge of science and technology.
Active participants of the events received commemorative certificates and souvenirs.
