Current issues in accounting and tax policy were discussed at Bishkek State University.

В Бишкекском государственном университете обсудили актуальные вопросы бухгалтерского учета и налоговой политики

On April 24, 2026, the Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting of the Institute of Continuous Distance Education, Retraining, and Advanced Training at Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev held a roundtable discussion on "Current Issues in Accounting and Tax Policy in the Kyrgyz Republic and Solutions.".

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance, as well as representatives of the business and professional community – specialists from the companies Oslo, 1C, KATO Economy, Oslo Accounting, and Profline.

The roundtable discussed current issues related to the development of accounting and the tax system. Specifically, the following were considered:

— accounting in accordance with international standards (IFRS) and problems of their implementation;

— improving tax legislation and ensuring its stability;

— simplification of accounting and tax reporting for small and medium-sized businesses;

— improving the qualifications of accountants and supporting their professional development;

— reducing the shadow economy and increasing the transparency of financial reporting.

Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of tax administration and the expansion of electronic services, which are seen as an important factor in reducing the administrative burden on entrepreneurs.

Following the event, participants developed proposals aimed at improving tax policy and increasing the efficiency of the accounting system in the Kyrgyz Republic.
