Faculty of Journalism and Information Systems
The Faculty of Journalism and Information Systems (FJIS) is one of the leading faculties of the university. The faculty was organized according to the order of the rector of BSU dated May 15, 2006. Currently, the faculty trains certified bachelors in journalism, television, advertising and public relations, documentation and library science, and information technology. Within the framework of the State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education, the curriculum is made up of the most relevant and necessary courses for mastering modern competencies.
The mission of the Faculty of Journalism and Information Systems:
The mission of the faculty is to prepare highly qualified, responsible and creative specialists in the field of journalism, mass communications and information technology, capable of working effectively in the conditions of digital transformation of the media environment. We strive to develop in students critical thinking, ethical responsibility, practical skills and digital literacy necessary for a successful career in the modern media space.
The faculty combines the best traditions of humanitarian education with innovative approaches in the field of information systems so that graduates can not only create high-quality media content, but also use modern digital technologies for its effective distribution and analysis.

The faculty offers the opportunity to become professional journalists, advertising and public relations (PR) specialists, librarians, and IT specialists in digital technologies. You will be able to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in journalism, advertising and PR, librarianship and IT technologies, taking into account the demands of the labor market.
