Department of Social Information and Documentation of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Information Systems

The Department of Social Information and Documentation is the only department in Kyrgyzstan that trains specialists in the information sphere – libraries, archives, information institutions.

            The teaching staff consists of highly qualified specialists in the information sphere and documentation. Teachers improve their qualifications at Moscow State Linguistic University, Institute of Information Technologies of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow State Institute of Culture, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, etc.

             Mission: Support for all educational and upbringing programs of the university

              Main objective: Training of highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of library, archival and documentation work.

              Tasks: to comply with state requirements for ensuring the educational process; to provide high-quality educational services, specialists who are mobile in the labor market and ready for further professional and personal growth; to create conditions for the comprehensive development of the personality of each student.
