From May 21 to 25, 2025, the international conference "Exchanges and Communications of Chinese and Central Asian Civilizations" was held in Xi'an, China, at Northwestern University. The organizer was the School of Journalism and Communications of the university. The goal was to strengthen cooperation in the field of communication research and education between China and the Central Asian countries.
The conference contributed to the implementation of the initiatives of the China-Central Asia Summit, the development of dialogue between civilizations and humanitarian ties within the framework of the One Belt, One Road project.
Bishkek State University named after K. Karasayev was represented by Vice-Rector Gulnara Murzakhmetova, Deans Altyn Asanova and Gulnara Botokanova. The prospects for academic exchanges, joint programs and research were discussed.
