🏛 University of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO University, USCO)

Initiator: President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin (SCO summit in Bishkek)
Mission:
The SCO University was created to train highly qualified specialists in priority areas of strategic interest for the social and economic development of the SCO member countries, as well as for the development of integration processes in the fields of education, science and technology.

🤝 Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States (NU CIS)
Year of foundation:
- 2008 - initiative to create from the Russian side
- 2009 — signing of the Agreement on the establishment of the Consortium
- 2020 — official signing of the Agreement on the establishment of the CIS Council of Heads of Government at the level of the CIS Council of Heads of Government
Mission:
The CIS SU is an equal association of leading universities of the Commonwealth countries, implementing joint educational programs for training masters, strengthening academic mobility and cooperation in the field of science and education.

🌍 Orhun Exchange Programme
Year of foundation: 2017
Organizer: Turkic University Union (TÜRKÜNİB), within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)
Mission:
The Orkhun program is aimed at deepening cooperation between universities of Turkic-speaking countries through academic mobility of students and teachers, supporting cultural exchange and developing a common educational space.

Eurasian Network University (ENU)
Year of foundation / Initiative:
- The Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on May 25, 2022, at the Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek by the rectors of leading universities in the EAEU countries.
- ESU operates as a scientific and educational consortium.
Mission:
- Development of human and intellectual capital of the EAEU.
- Promoting global competitiveness and long-term prosperity of the economies of the EAEU countries.
- Formation of a unified educational space, support for promising research and innovation projects between universities of the EAEU countries.
Participating countries/member universities:
- Members of the EAEU: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia.
- Universities from Uzbekistan and the Pridnestrovian Republic also participate as observers/additional members.
- Number of universities: according to various sources, ~19 universities at the start (2022); as of January 2024, there are already 32 universities.
Priority areas/projects:
- Launch of the first Master's program in Eurasian Integration.
- Training of personnel required by the EAEU countries in key sectors.
- Scientific and educational interaction, digitalization of education, online formats, and barrier-free educational services between countries.
Administration / Management:
- The consortium is managed jointly by the leading participating universities and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
- There is no information about a specific rector of the "university"; ESU is a network project in which different universities participate, so the leadership is distributed.
Features/Format:
- Network format: consortium of universities, joint programs, academic mobility, research collaboration.
- It is planned to recognize diplomas and educational results between the EAEU states.
- Participation of member universities is expanding (new universities are joining)
