Department of World Economy and Regional Studies

 The Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of the K. Karasaev BSU was established in 2007 on the basis of the Department of World Economy of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations (by order of the rector No. 109 dated 06.09.2007).

The department is a structural educational-methodical and scientific subdivision of the BSU named after K. Karasayev, implementing educational, educational-methodical and scientific-research activities, extracurricular work among students and master's students in the following areas: "Economics", "Management", "Regional Studies", the department also carries out educational activities at the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations.

The graduate department of world economy and regional studies teaches academic disciplines that allow for a comprehensive study of the processes of development and management of international production, financial, currency and trade relations.

Mission Department of World Economy and Regional Studies – training of highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of world economy and international management, capable of freely navigating the diversity of dynamic changes occurring in the modern world.

The main goal The educational activities of the Department of World Economy are the development of universal human qualities, the formation of general cultural and professional competencies of the individual, based on the achievements of science and culture, modern methodology for studying socio-economic phenomena, problems and processes, mastering basic economic concepts, principles and laws, acquiring skills in analyzing socio-economic situations and practical application of acquired competencies in the field of international economic relations and management.

Achieving a goal requires a decision tasks to develop students’ complex theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as to acquire skills in the field of international economic relations, foreign trade activities, international business, and international management.
