Department of Official Language of the FRF

The Department of Official Language was founded in August 1979. At the origins of the foundation of the department were the leading specialists of the republic: professor of BSU, Ph.D. Elebesova S.A., Professor of BSU, Doctor of Philological Sciences Sydykov A.N., associate professors Tabaeva R.Sh., Lukyanova G.M., Tsiryulina M.P., Keneshbekova N.A., Dzhudemishev Zh.Ch., Sooronkulov K.U., Kulbaeva G.B., Karmyshakova Z.S. etc.

Currently, the Department of Official Language is a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of the BSU named after K. Karasayev, performs the function of an interfaculty department, serves the 1st courses of all faculties of the BSU. The department employs 5 people: 2 acting associate professors, 2 senior lecturers, 1 lecturer, 1 senior laboratory assistant. The staff of the department is friendly and close-knit. The department employs both experienced professionals with more than 25 years of experience and young teachers. Associate Professors Abdykasymova A.R., Musayeva Ch.Zh., Sueralieva Z.S. are mentors for young teachers, use advanced methods, digital technologies, classical forms and methods of teaching and upbringing students in their professional activities, their classes are distinguished by a high scientific and methodological level.

           For many years, the department's teachers have been doing a lot of fruitful work teaching Russian to students from remote regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, China, Afghanistan, Turkey, and the Russian Federation.

          The teaching load of the department staff includes practical classes in Russian language in the 1st years of all faculties of BSU, classes in Russian as a foreign language in 1st year groups of the Faculty of Russian Language, classes in the discipline "Business Letter" in 2nd year groups of the Faculty of Russian Language, reviewing master's dissertations, diploma and qualification works of final year students of the Faculty of Russian Language. A large place in the educational process is given to extracurricular work, independent work.

            The department has organized the work of the teaching and methodological complex (responsible senior teacher Sueralieva Z.S.), there is a methodological seminar (responsible senior teacher Kuttubaeva I.K.). The scientific and methodological work of the department is connected with the educational and methodological activities of teachers. It allows developing and introducing into the educational process effective teaching methods that allow preparing literate specialists with a good command of the Russian language. In order to increase the effectiveness of teaching Russian as a foreign language, the department has developed the educational and methodological complex "Language Portfolio" on 4 levels.  

R&D

           The teachers are engaged in research on the topic of "Problems of Improving Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" (responsible: Acting Associate Professor Musaev Ch. Zh.). Postgraduate students and applicants of the department are fruitfully working on research topics (Azimova Z.N., Kuttubaeva I.K.). In their research, the teachers of the department address issues of developing and improving skills and abilities in various types of speech activity, study problems of the current state of the Russian literary language, and describe the lexical system of the Russian language in a comparative manner. Members of the department take part in scientific and practical conferences and seminars.

Research

          Research work is a mandatory element of training future specialists. The department organizes research work with 1st-year students. There are 2 scientific clubs: "Non-verbal means of communication", "Expressive reading". Every year, members of the department hold Russian language Olympiads, essay competitions, compositions, festivals on the theme "Russian language is my faithful friend and assistant". Students take an active part in student conferences.
