Program description: Social work is a field of professional activity aimed at assisting individuals and social groups in overcoming personal and social difficulties through support, advocacy, correction, and rehabilitation. The goal of social work professionals is to mitigate social contradictions and improve mutual understanding between people.
Objective: to develop students' general cultural and professional competencies that enable graduates to work successfully in the social sphere, be socially mobile, and be stable in the labor market.
Field of activity after completion of training: The knowledge and qualifications acquired by graduates of the bachelor's and master's degree programs in the field of Social Work allow them to work in the following state and non-governmental institutions: the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and all its district structures, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Statistical Committee, the Republican Social Fund and all its district structures, local governments, the Department of Social Protection, the Association of Social Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic, city and district departments of social development, family and child support departments, departments for the development of social support programs of various organizations, public and charitable foundations, SOS Children's Villages of Kyrgyzstan, the State Penitentiary Service, crisis centers for the protection of families and children, the National Guard

Program description: The program develops a comprehensive system of scientific knowledge about the world around us. Students study modern concepts, the place and role of humans in nature and society in psychology as a science, examining its historical aspects, phenomena, categories, and methodological foundations. Students are able to understand and analyze the anatomical, physiological, and psychological patterns of development of the human psyche and consciousness. They learn to organize optimal conditions for the development and socialization of educational participants, in accordance with the principles of student-centered education and sustainable development (healthy lifestyle, cultural diversity, inclusion, etc.). Students acquire the skills to prevent social and personal deviations and socio-professional risks in various activities through counseling, psychological diagnostics, correction and rehabilitation, and adherence to the standards of a professional code of ethics. Graduates are qualified to teach psychology in preschools and educational institutions using developmental and student-centered educational technologies. They can also organize psychological services, carry out social, psychological, and pedagogical activities, and apply their acquired skills to work in society.

Program description: The program is designed to train specialists with theoretical and applied competencies to analyze a wide range of processes in social, political, economic, and other spheres, and to develop recommendations for management. Much attention is paid to practical training throughout their education. From their junior years, students are engaged in research through the department's close collaboration with specialized research institutes and consulting organizations. Graduates of the program work for leading organizations engaged in research into socioeconomic, political, and other processes, consulting, advertising, marketing, and expert analysis. Thanks to the comprehensive foundation of their sociological education, graduates can also work in education, business, mass media, advertising, marketing, public relations, and in central and local government. Graduates have the opportunity to continue their education in master's, postgraduate, or doctoral programs, including abroad.

Program description: Graduates of this program develop professional competencies through the study of political theory, the history of political thought, political sociology, political ethics, the fundamentals of political philosophy, the political history of Kyrgyzstan, the methodology of political science, comparative political science, political psychology, political management, political conflictology, political consulting and PR, political analysis and forecasting, world politics and international relations, and political processes and institutions in various regions. Students gain practical skills in socio-political organizations and political parties, as well as in city and regional administrative bodies and the media. Political scientists can engage in teaching and research at universities, academic institutes, schools, lyceums, and vocational educational institutions. Graduates' primary professional activities include work in legislative and executive bodies, political parties and public organizations, consulting services, press services of governing and oversight bodies, and the media.
MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS

Program description: The program is aimed at developing professional political science competencies with the opportunity for advanced specialization in the history and theory of politics, the history of sociopolitical doctrines, Kyrgyz politics, comparative political science, the sociology and psychology of politics, public policy, and other areas of research. Graduates of the program are in demand in government and local government bodies, think tanks and consulting centers, news agencies and media outlets, general and vocational educational institutions, public organizations, and businesses.

Program description: The Master's program in Sociology trains sociologists and analysts in the field of socially significant management issues in various areas of society. This allows graduates to pursue a variety of career paths, including organizational management, academic work, and teaching, and to be in demand for leadership positions in a wide range of organizations.

Program description: The program provides a deep understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of mental processes, states, and individual differences, including those used to address complex issues in education, healthcare, culture, sports, national defense, law, management, and social security. Students acquire skills in counseling, diagnosis, examination, correction, and restoration of mental processes, characteristics, and human living conditions, taking into account individual psychological, socio-ethnic, and multicultural differences. Students are able to define the boundaries of theory and concepts in scientific and psychological research (both theoretical and empirical) using modern information technologies to solve professional problems, while taking into account their socio-economic, psychological, pedagogical, and ethnocultural characteristics. Graduates manage interpersonal and intergroup relations in public and business organizations, governing bodies, research organizations, and consulting firms.

Program description: A master's degree student in this program receives fundamental training in social work. The program includes courses that provide in-depth study of professional disciplines, enabling graduates to successfully pursue careers in their chosen field and develop universal and subject-specific competencies that facilitate social mobility and stability in the labor market. The program aims to provide fundamental training for highly qualified specialists with in-depth knowledge of social work, professional mastery of specific research methods in the field, and knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, as well as the ability to independently conduct research and teach. Graduates of the Social Work program can work in the following institutions: Social Welfare Departments, Republican and District Social Funds, Social Adaptation Centers, Public Charitable Foundations, and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
