Management of the organization of research and development and training of scientific personnel
The BSU Department for the Organization of Research and Development and Training of Scientific Personnel carries out its activities with the aim of developing and supporting scientific research as the basis for the fundamentalization of education and improving the quality of training competitive specialists possessing the necessary professional competencies and scientific methods of cognition.
Goals, objectives and functions of managing the organization of research and development and training of scientific personnel
The main objectives are:
- organization and coordination of research activities of the University;
- promoting the effective use and development of the scientific potential of the University’s teaching staff;
- expansion of the scope and improvement of the quality of scientific research;
- control over the status and implementation of research and development;
- ensuring a close connection between scientific activity and the educational process;
- together with the departments, planning, organizing and conducting international, regional, inter-university and intra-university scientific-practical and scientific-theoretical conferences, seminars, round tables, etc.;
- development of cooperation and collaboration with other institutions and organizations in the field of scientific research;
- providing advisory and methodological assistance to the University’s divisions in the area of development of scientific research work;
- improvement of research work in accordance with the requirements of the quality management system, etc.;
Within the framework of these objectives, the Department is entrusted with the following tasks:
- scientific support of the educational process and training of specialists;
- development of international partnerships in scientific and educational spheres;
- development of fundamental and applied, innovative research based on the growth of scientific qualifications of staff and students;
- organize the participation of the institute’s faculty in scientific conferences, competitions, and seminars of various levels through the preparation of articles/methodological developments;
- increasing the publication activity of faculty and researchers.
In accordance with the goals and objectives, the scientific department performs the following functions:
Providing teachers and students with consulting services on all issues related to the organization and conduct of scientific research work, etc.
ensures the integration of scientific and educational activities;
disseminates the latest scientific achievements, publishes scientific, educational, methodological and reference literature containing the results of the scientific activities of BSU, including the BSU Bulletin;
coordination and organizational support of research work at the University, generalization and analysis of its results, and reporting on it;
participation in the preparation and holding of student scientific and practical conferences;
Together with the departments, organizing the participation of University students in regional, national, and international scientific conferences and competitions; regularly posting information on research activities on the University website;
information about scientific competitions, conferences, symposia, seminars, grants, research applications and opportunities for publishing research results;
concluding agreements on scientific cooperation with other universities, scientific organizations, and enterprises of all types of ownership;

PhD, doctoral, postgraduate, and doctoral studies are the main forms of training in the postgraduate professional education system. Doctoral and postgraduate training at the university is carried out in areas and specialties in accordance with the license issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Department of Research and Development and Research Personnel Training is a university research unit created to manage research and production work and improve the quality of specialist training. Its key responsibilities include coordinating the activities of graduate students, doctoral students, and degree seekers.
Postgraduate training is conducted in 18 specialties and 9 areas: pedagogical, economic, philological, psychological, sociological, political, and geographical sciences.
For graduate students and applicants, courses are organized and conducted to prepare for the candidate minimum exams in the subjects of history and philosophy of science, foreign languages, and the Kyrgyz language. Opportunities are provided to test research results at conferences, seminars, classes, and other events. Research results are regularly published and discussed at scientific conferences, seminars, and meetings of the University's Scientific Council.
Doctoral studies, which are an independent form of work on dissertations for specialists attached to higher education institutions without enrollment in doctoral programs, have also been introduced into the practice of BSU.

- A copy of the certificate of proficiency in Russian, Kyrgyz or English (for foreign citizens);

- Personal record card and a document confirming employment activity (for persons with work experience);
- A notarized copy of the passport and diploma of higher education/master's degree (for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic);
