COUNCIL OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS
The Young Scientists Council is a permanent, collegial, advisory body operating on a voluntary basis. Its activities are carried out in accordance with the University Charter and the regulatory documents governing the University's activities. The Council is not a legal entity and operates in accordance with the regulations of the Young Scientists Council, approved by the University.
The objectives of the Council of Young Scientists:
- assisting young scientists in improving their professional level;
- development of scientific potential and realization of their creative abilities;
- providing protection and implementation of professional, intellectual interests and rights of young scientists at the University;
- propaganda of scientific knowledge and the latest scientific achievements.
The main tasks of the SMU are:
- information about scientific projects and programs, about foundations that support scientific research of young scientists (grants), scientific and educational centers in the country and abroad, as well as about specialized events (conferences, seminars) held in the Kyrgyz Republic, countries of the near and far abroad;
- creation of an information database of scientific research and development of young scientists of a scientific organization or higher educational institution;
- organizing information support for young scientists, providing information on vacancies, funds, grants, conferences, schools and other events to support young scientists;
- Promoting the professional growth of the University's young scientists, developing youth research initiatives, and retaining young researchers at the University. Preparing proposals for improving scientific work at the University;
- assistance in providing organizational and financial support for the scientific activities of young scientists, their participation in research projects and programs, scientific internships, competitions, scientific conferences and seminars;
- organizing and promoting scientific conferences, seminars, round tables and competitions for the best scientific products, assisting young scientists in publishing articles and reports;
- Conducting events aimed at assisting young scientists in mastering the methodology and techniques of research; promoting the scientific and cultural growth of young scientists;
- submitting to the rector’s office their recommendations and proposals on issues of work, life, and leisure of young scientists;
- promoting initiatives of young scientists aimed at solving their social problems.
The main areas of activity of the SMU:
- to put forward initiatives and make proposals on various issues of scientific and public life to the rector’s office and the Academic Council;
- to represent and protect the rights and legitimate interests of the University’s young scientists;
- to organize scientific conferences, seminars, competitions of scientific papers and meetings of young scientists, lecture series of leading scientists from scientific and educational centers of foreign countries;
- interact with innovation and implementation centers and organizations, other interested organizations, foundations implementing research projects, programs, and providing them with financial support (grants);
- represent the interests of young scientists in administrative, scientific, public and other organizations;
- participate in national and international projects and programs;
- to promote the involvement of graduate students and students of the University in research activities.
