Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations

The mission of the faculty is: meeting the educational needs of the Republic in oriental knowledge by training orientalists in the language, history, culture and economics, international relations and intercultural communications of Eastern countries.  

The faculty teaches Japanese, Korean, Arabic, English, Persian, Turkish languages. In the departments of oriental languages English language taught as a second foreign language. 

There are 72 teachers with special training in teaching in the faculty's 5 departments. Arabic, Korean, Persian, Turkish, Japanese and English, including more 20 native speakers of Eastern and Western languages; highly qualified specialists in history, culture, and international relations of Asian and African countries, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan, professors invited from leading universities in a number of Eastern countries.

Information for applicants

Student life at our faculty is rich and diverse. During the period of study under the bachelor's degree programs, students actively participate in research activities, present reports at scientific conferences of various levels, become winners and prize winners of interuniversity, republican and international competitions and olympiads.

The faculty provides ample opportunities for comprehensive personal development. Students have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities not only in their studies, but also in cultural, sports and social events. Active participation in the life of the faculty helps to develop leadership qualities, responsibility and teamwork skills. Graduates of the faculty are in high demand in the labor market. Many of them continue their education in master's and postgraduate programs abroad, successfully entering the world's leading universities. Others find application for their knowledge and skills, holding positions in international organizations, diplomatic missions, government agencies, think tanks and private sector companies.
