The Department of History of Kyrgyzstan and the Foreign East is a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations.
The Department of History of Kyrgyzstan and Foreign East is a structural division of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations of the K. Karasaev BSU. On July 15, 1992, the Faculty of Oriental Studies was organized at the State Institute of Foreign Languages and Humanities. The Department of History of Foreign East Countries was created as a structural division of the faculty.
Mashrapov T.T. - PhD in History, Associate Professor, headed the department from July 28, 1992 to March 23, 1994. In connection with the transfer of Mashrapov T.T. to another job, Esengulov N.Zh. - PhD in History, Associate Professor was appointed head of the department. He headed the department from September 23, 1994 to November 26, 1999. In connection with the transfer of Esengulov N.Zh. to another job, Kablukov E.N. was appointed head of the department (from December 1, 1999 to September 7, 2000).
Due to production needs, the Department of History of the Countries of the Foreign East was renamed the Department of World History on September 8, 2000. On the same day, Ryskulov T.M., PhD in History, Associate Professor, was appointed head of the department. On September 1, 2005, the department was renamed the Department of History of Kyrgyzstan and the Foreign East. Ryskulov T.M. worked as the head of the department until October 17, 2017. Due to the transfer of Ryskulov T.M. to another job, PhD in History, Acting Professor Saparaliev D.B. was appointed head of the department. Currently, two PhDs in History, one Acting Professor work at the department. Professor (Saparaliev D.B.), one Associate Professor (Beishenaliev T.O.), three Senior Lecturers (Begaliev Maksat Maratovich, Mambetaliev U.Z., Arzymatova A.Zh.). One Acting Professor (Masharapov T.T.), two Associate Professors (Ryskulov T.M., Duishenbiev S.U.) and one Senior Lecturer (Smaylova S.M.) work part-time. The department trains specialists in the field of "Oriental Studies - African Studies", code: 530900, profile: "History of Asian and African Countries". In the status of bachelors, masters and postgraduate students - candidates of historical sciences. The mission of the department is "History of Kyrgyzstan and the Foreign East".
The Department of History of Kyrgyzstan and the Foreign East carries out the general mission of the Bishkek Humanitarian University, which, being a leading scientific, innovative, educational and cultural center in the field of humanitarian education, uses its rich potential to meet the intellectual, cultural and social demands and needs of the individual, society and the state, and promotes the sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic. The department trains specialists with comprehensive historical and oriental studies training, adapted to practical, theoretical-analytical and pedagogical activities in the context of modern labor market requirements.
To fulfill this mission, the faculty of the department carries out its activities in accordance with the Curriculum and the requirements of the State Standard of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and is guided by the regulatory acts of the universities of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at improving the quality of education.
